Fors seulement: Sechs Cantus-firmus-Bearbeitungen aus dem "Liber Fridolini Sichery" (1545)

The song „Fors seulement“ belongs to the list of „greatest hits“ of the 15th and 16th centuries. Entire generations of composers used them as basic materials for their compositions. The six cantus firmus compositions presented here are found in a songbook inscribed with the ex-libris: „Liber Fridolini Sichery“. The composers are J. Desprez, A. Agricole, J. Verbonet (Gieselin), J. Obrecht and two anonymous composers.
