Guillaume Gommar Kennis : VI Sonate à Violino e Violoncello o Cimbalo, Op 1, Bd. I
Liège ca.1744 (Band I & II)
This opus 1 is undoubtedly the work that places Kennis among the great virtuosos of his time. This work was well known and respected in its time. French violinist-composers such as Michel Corette and Jean-Baptiste Cartier and later the composer Camille Saint-Saëns took up movements from sonatas IV and VI in their anthologies of violin music.
